The streets of “America’s Coolest Small Town” are glistening once again as the annual Lititz Fire & Ice Festival officially kicked February 13, 2026. This year marks a decade-long tradition of transforming the historic downtown into a winter wonderland, featuring ten days of sculptures, street performances, and local flavors.
The festival, which runs through February 22, is expected to draw over 40,000 visitors to Lancaster County, providing a much-needed mid-winter boost to local boutiques and restaurants.
The main attraction remains the stunning array of ice sculptures lining Main and Broad Streets. Professional carvers from the DiMartino Ice Company have transformed thousands of pounds of ice into intricate works of art, ranging from local landmarks to mythical creatures.
Live Carvings: For those who want to see the magic in person, live carving demonstrations are scheduled throughout the first weekend, allowing spectators to watch blocks of ice transform via chainsaws and chisels.
Nighttime Glow: As the sun sets, the sculptures are illuminated with multi-colored LED lights, creating a crystalline gallery through the heart of town.
While the ice provides the spectacle, the “Fire” side of the festival keeps the crowds warm.
Performance Art: In Lititz Springs Park, the high-energy fire shows featuring Molly Dazzle and other local performers are a crowd favorite. These nightly events combine acrobatics with choreographed fire spinning.
The Food Truck Court: Located at the Lititz Mutual Insurance parking lot, a fleet of food trucks is serving up everything from spicy chili to hot cocoa.
Lititz Lions Chili Cook-Off: A festival staple, the cook-off (held on Saturday, Feb 21) features dozens of local chefs competing for the title of “Best Chili,” with proceeds benefiting local non-profits.
