Baltimore’s Inner Harbor has been transformed into a European winter wonderland as the Christmas Village in Baltimore celebrates its 12th season with its most significant expansion yet. The authentic German-style holiday market is back at West Shore Park and has grown to take over the adjacent Bicentennial Plaza, offering more vendors, new attractions, and festive food and drink.

Running from its preview weekend on November 22-23 through Christmas Eve, December 24, the Village offers a vital holiday tradition for Charm City, drawing thousands of visitors eager to shop, dine, and soak up the festive atmosphere.

In a major change this year, the Christmas Village has expanded its footprint, stretching into Bicentennial Plaza and connecting directly to the Baltimore Visitor Center.

Key highlights of the 2025 season include:

  • A New Christmas Village Carousel: A whimsical carousel featuring animals from pandas to zebras has debuted, adding another ride option alongside the returning 65-foot illuminated Ferris Wheel.

  • Santa at the Visitor Center: Santa Claus now has a dedicated home inside the Visitor Center, offering comfortable and pet-friendly photo opportunities.

  • Festival of Trees Fundraiser: The Visitor Center is also hosting a new “Festival of Trees,” featuring a dozen decorated trees. Visitors can vote for their favorites by donation, with all proceeds benefiting the Kennedy Krieger Institute.

The market remains a culinary destination, delivering classic German fare while introducing exciting new additions.

  • Glühbier Debut: For the first time, the Village is serving Glühbier—a hot, mulled beer imported from Belgium’s historic Liefmans Brewery.

  • Local Brew Collaboration: South Baltimore’s M8 Beer has partnered with the Village to unveil “The Decimator,” a full-bodied German-style Doppelbock, and is hosting “Beer Diploma” tastings.

  • Expanded Food Menu: Joining the fan-favorite Raclette Cheese Sandwiches, Potato Pancakes, and Bratwurst are new offerings, including freshly grilled Beef and Chicken Kebabs and customizable Loaded Baked Potatoes.

With more than 70 local and international vendors spread across the wooden huts and inside a huge heated festival tent, shoppers can find everything from authentic German ornaments by Käthe Wohlfahrt to handcrafted local jewelry.

The Christmas Village offers a slice of European tradition right on the Baltimore waterfront. The market’s blend of global shopping, festive lights, new attractions, and hearty food and drink ensures it remains a must-visit destination for the city’s holiday season.
