Everyone is invited to attend a special event at the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet to support the students of CPYB. “Spring Into Summer” will be held Saturday, June 8 at 5 p.m. at the CPYB Studios on North Orange Street in Carlisle. The evening will include a cocktail reception, heavy hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, performances, and dancing.
“Spring Into Summer is not just our event. It’s the community’s event for their nationally recognized school for ballet. It’s a celebration of our students who are a huge part of the community and are learning life skills that go beyond the studio. Come celebrate these kids with us!”, said CPYB CEO, Nicholas Ade.
Established in 1955 by Founder Marcia Dale Weary, the mission of CPYB is to inspire, educate, and enrich young lives through dance. Funds raised during “Spring Into Summer” will support the educational development of young dancers with scholarships, world-class training and performance experience.
Nearly 300 students from all over the country currently attend the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. Children as young as 3 years old can take classes at CPYB. The training is intense for advanced students. They practice Monday through Friday for 5 hours every evening and all day Saturday, putting in more than 30 hours a week.
