Penn State Football has officially set the date for one of college football’s most intimidating spectacles. Penn State Athletics announced that the 19th full-stadium Penn State White Out will take place on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, when the Nittany Lions host the USC Trojans under the lights at West Shore Home Field at Beaver Stadium.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET, with the marquee Big Ten clash broadcast nationally on NBC and streamed on Peacock as part of Big Ten Saturday Night.
The announcement headlines a full slate of 2026 game day themes released by the athletic department. Marking the eighth all-time regular-season meeting between the two storied programs, the matchup represents the Trojans’ first trip to Happy Valley since 1994.
First introduced as a student-section movement in 2004 before expanding to the entire 106,000-plus capacity stadium in 2007, the White Out has evolved into an iconic tradition. Over 100,000 fans dressed entirely in white generate an oppressive wall of sound that routinely disrupts opposing offenses. The Nittany Lions hold an 11-7 all-time record when the entire stadium participates in the event.
The Oct. 10 showcase will also mark the first White Out under head coach Matt Campbell, who took over the Nittany Lions program after ten seasons at Iowa State.
Penn State Athletics confirmed that additional 2026 home designations include the 11th annual Stripe Out during the Sept. 5 season opener against Marshall, and the fifth Helmet Stripe game on Sept. 26 against Wisconsin during Homecoming. Official 2026 White Out apparel and ticketing details are available through the Penn State Athletics official portal.
