Republican Catherine Wallen has won a special Election in the 193rd House District. She replaces former Republican State Rep. Torren Ecker, who was elected Judge of the Adams County Court of Common Pleas in November 2025.
Unofficial results show Wallen beat her Democratic challenger Todd Crawley, capturing nearly 60% percent of the vote in the district which covers parts of Adams and Cumberland counties.
Wallen will serve the remainder of Ecker’s term, which expires at the end of this year. Both Wallen and Crawley are on the ballot for the November general election for a full House term which runs 2 years.
Wallen, a former staffer for Ecker, emphasized continuity of service for the district’s constituents and fiscal responsibility during her campaign.
Crawley, a public health and safety expert and former official at Harrisburg Area Community College, campaigned on a platform of strengthening public education and managing regional development.
