The Original “Tiger King” Mike Tyson’s Maryland Estate for Sale for $8.5M

Former heavyweight boxing world champion Mike Tyson’s former Maryland Estate is for sale for $8.5 million.  It’s on the sixth hole of the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland.

Tyson purchased the property in 1995. He was flying in his private jet when he saw the estate and decided to buy it.  The home, on a 5.3-acre compound, has 19,000 square feet and features a large gym, pool, sports court, piano room, media room, and game room.

Following the nationwide buzz of the Netflix series “Tiger King”, the 53 year old recently posted a photo of his pet Bengal tiger Kenya, reminding fans he who was the original “Tiger King”.  At one point, Tyson owned 3 tigers as pets.
