A fugitive task force led by the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested a Delaware County school district employee early Thursday morning in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a minor in Texas.

Michael Robinson, 43, of Radnor, was taken into custody without incident around 7:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Windermere Avenue. At the time of his arrest, Robinson was employed as a paraprofessional at Radnor Township Middle School.

The arrest follows an indictment handed down by a grand jury in Smith County, Texas, in December 2025. According to federal authorities, the charges stem from an incident in August 2024.

Investigators allege that:

  • Online Solicitation: Robinson met a juvenile under the age of 15 online.

  • Travel for Abuse: He allegedly traveled from Pennsylvania to Tyler, Texas, specifically to meet the minor.

  • The Assault: Authorities claim the minor was sexually assaulted over the course of a weekend.

The warrant for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child was delegated to the Marshals Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force, which eventually tracked Robinson’s employment and location back to the Philadelphia suburbs.

The arrest was executed by the U.S. Marshals Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force in conjunction with the Radnor Township Police Department.

“Crimes against children are some of the most serious warrants our task force investigates,” said Robert Clark, Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal. “Mr. Robinson’s arrest demonstrates that sexual predators will always be pursued relentlessly by the Marshals Service, regardless of where they attempt to hide or work.”

Following his arrest, Robinson was transported to the Radnor Township Police Department for initial processing. He is currently being held at the George W. Hill Correctional Facility pending extradition proceedings to Smith County, Texas, to face the felony charges.

Radnor Township School District has been notified of the arrest. Officials have not yet released a statement regarding Robinson’s employment status or background check history at the time of his hiring.
