Verber Dental Group of Camp Hill, operating 14 practices across South Central Pennsylvania, is notifying patients that their personal and health information may have been compromised in a recent data security breach.

According to official notice statements filed by the company and submitted to state regulators, Verber Dental Group first detected unusual activity within its computer network on January 27, 2026.

The company immediately initiated security protocols and launched an investigation with the assistance of cybersecurity specialists to determine what happened and whether sensitive information may have been affected.  The investigation confirmed that unauthorized individuals may have gained access to parts of the dental group’s network between January 26 and January 27, 2026.

Following a review of the compromised files to identify who was affected, Verber Dental Group began mailing out formal notification letters to impacted individuals on May 7.

The types of compromised data varied by individuals, but the exposed data may include:

  • Names and dates of birth

  • Social Security numbers

  • Driver’s license or state identification numbers

  • Medical records and dental history

  • Health insurance details

Verber Dental says it has not identified any misuse of patient information.  A toll-free call center has been established to field patient questions regarding the data breach.  Individuals can call 1-833-289-3692, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

In response to the data breach, Verber Dental Group says it has implemented additional security measures to prevent future hacks.
