Taste of the Chamber is back for the first time since 2019 and will take place on July 15, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, hosted at Sun Motor Cars Mercedes-Benz on the Carlisle Pike. The event will be a fun networking opportunity for attendees from the region to sample the signature dishes of the Chamber’s restaurant, catering, beverage, and food service members. Earlier this year, the Programs & Events Committee selected a member nonprofit to benefit from a portion of the event proceeds – Special Olympics Pennsylvania – Capital Area Region, Area M.
Special Olympics Team Area M, a part of the Capital Area Region in Pennsylvania, serves children and adults with intellectual disabilities in Cumberland, Dauphin, Perry, and Northern York Counties, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community. Training and competition in 17 Olympic sports takes place year-round, with local invitationals, regional events, and state competitions for the over 1200 athletes in the area. None of this could happen without the hundreds of volunteers who so graciously give of their time and energy. All of this is provided at no cost to athletes or their families thanks to donations and fundraising events. At all events, you will hear the athletes reciting the Special Olympic Athlete Oath, “Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.” Visit their website at www.specialolympicspa.org for more information.
The event is open to the public and welcome to sample the area’s best dishes in one place by purchasing your tickets at www.wschamber.org or by calling the Chamber office at (717) 761-0702.
